Our client is a trusted, family-owned supplier of capital equipment and engineered solutions with 20 locations across the U.S. Due to strategic growth and market expansion, this role is focused on serving clients in warehousing, distribution, logistics, and manufacturing industries in the Lynchburg, VA area.

Your Responsibilities
- Business Development: Prospect and develop new business within your territory, specifically targeting companies in the industrial, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, and logistics sectors.
- Consultative Sales: Conduct in-depth needs analyses to understand customer challenges and create tailored proposals for material handling and construction equipment, including lift trucks, aerial lifts, and racks.
- Account Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing customers, serving as a trusted partner to a diverse portfolio of clients in the transportation and building materials industries.
- Market Expertise: Stay up-to-date on current equipment values, market trends, and financing options to provide expert advice to your clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a Regional Sales Manager for strategic guidance and support on complex deals.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience.
- Proven Success: A demonstrated track record of success in consultative selling, prospecting, and closing long-cycle deals.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience selling to a similar audience in the industrial, construction, material handling, warehousing, distribution, transportation, logistics, or manufacturing industries is a strong plus.
- Self-Starter: The ability to work independently in a field-based role with 80-90% travel within the territory.
- Technical Skills: Experience with CRM software is required (Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
- Other Requirements: A valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required.
