You will serve as a Sheet Metal Mechanic (Aircraft) in the MRO Production Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will independently perform the full range of aircraft sheet metal mechanic duties, including the most complex repairs and fabrications on various aircraft types.
- You will assess damaged parts to determine the sequence of operations necessary for sheet metal repairs or replacements.
- You will remove fixed sheet metal and composite structures from aircraft and disassemble structural and non-structural metal and composite components.
- You will work from technical drawings, directives, manuals, and other written or verbal instructions to complete sheet metal work.
- You will comply with safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
- You will assist with training and mentoring other artisans at the same or lower level.
- You will accomplish other duties assigned.
