Position Summary
The role of the Analyst Accounts Payable I will be to processes and verify invoices, ensuring timely vendor payments, reconciling accounts, maintaining good vendor records and managing vendor relationships, maintaining good relationships with internal customers (planners, requisitioners, purchasers, supervisors and managers to ensure customer accounts are managed, paid, reconciled and balanced every month.

The role of the Analyst Accounts Payable I will be to processes and verify invoices, ensuring timely vendor payments, reconciling accounts, maintaining good vendor records and managing vendor relationships, maintaining good relationships with internal customers (planners, requisitioners, purchasers, supervisors and managers to ensure customer accounts are managed, paid, reconciled and balanced every month.
Essential Duties
- Reconcile vendor accounts in NTEC system (Ellipse) to vendor statements.
- Load vendor invoices timely and accurately.
- Ability to process invoices, credits and corrections to invoices timely and accurately.
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy within a high-volume work environment.
- Perform new vendor setup and maintenance, including collecting and validating required tax documentation (W-9) and supporting 1099 reporting requirements.
- Participate in the month-end closing process.
- Ability to work with minimal direction when necessary to support the group's objectives.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn software systems and function independently in the systems with proficiency and accuracy.
- Willingness to cross-train and support other areas within the Business department and team as needed.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills and exhibit good judgement in vendor interactions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must promote good communication skills internally and cross-department specifically with procurement, warehouse personnel, planners and project owners.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- Excellent PC skills with proficiency in various computer applications (flexible and sophisticated enough to work with any accounting system), MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and others.
- Must be able to demonstrate a professional demeanor and be a team player.
- Bachelor degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and Accounts Payable experience (minimum of 2 years) required.
- Proficiency with financial accounting systems such as Ellipse, JDE, QuickBooks or other similar systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven ability to manage work schedule, meeting all deadlines and expectations in performance of duties.
- Proven ability to maintain a calm demeanor in the face of confrontational situations.
- Working knowledge and understanding of multipe state sales tax including, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Navajo Nation , preferred.
- Physical Demands:** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to frequently sit with frequent forward bending and occasional rotation. The employee must rarely lift, carry and/or move up to 13 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is required to rarely push or pull up to 45 pounds horizontally. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required occasionally to walk; climb stairs; and stand with rare rotation. Rarely the employee is required to squat repetitively or reach up to 74". Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Working Environment:** Works in office environment and rarely outdoor environment. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard of ice equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
