Commercial Roofing Estimator and Project Manager

We’re seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator / Project Manager who’s ready to go beyond the numbers. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a quality-driven, team-oriented environment and is ready to take ownership of the full project lifecycle—from estimating and planning to execution and final inspection.

Please Note: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing in a dedicated Estimator or Project Manager role. Residential-only experience will not be considered.

About The Position

The Project Manager/Estimator, dual-role position offers the best of both worlds: the opportunity to create accurate, strategic bids, and the responsibility to oversee projects through execution with a focus on quality, safety, and collaboration.

It’s ideal for an experienced estimator who wants more involvement in project management—or a project manager with strong estimating expertise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed takeoffs and prepare complete, timely bid proposals
• Visit job sites and review specs/plans for re-roof and new construction projects
• Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to develop accurate project pricing
• Plan, track, and manage project schedules, budgets, and materials
• Lead coordination with field teams, clients, and internal departments
• Oversee job progress, safety, quality control, and compliance
• Guide projects from kickoff through punch list and closeout
• Participate in pre- and post-project meetings, fostering continuous improvement
• Help cultivate long-term client relationships through clear communication and consistent results
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in a dedicated estimating or project management role in commercial roofing
• Strong desire to own projects from estimating through completion
• Proven ability to read plans/specs and generate detailed takeoffs
• High attention to detail and organization
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Project); experience with Bluebeam, Edge Estimating, or similar software preferred
• Commitment to quality, safety, and professional accountability
