Position Summary:
Nation Safe Drivers is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant II to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. This role is responsible for assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closings, audit support, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-volume accounting environment and possess strong analytical and organizational skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Review financial data and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Analyze information and prepare spreadsheet reports while verifying data accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Respond to information requests and assist with audits.
- Research discrepancies and resolve variances.
- Assist with special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Experience working within a large company and managing a high volume of transactions preferred.
