POSITION AVAILABLE: Program Assistant I STARTING DATE: ASAP Employment Type: Full Time, up to 180 days per year RATE: $18 - $22 DOE Application Deadline: Until Filled GENERAL INFORMATION: The Program Assistant works with the management team to plan, organize and perform a wide variety of specialized administrative and technical duties in support of the successful completion of work scope goals and deliverables for grant-funded projects. The Program Assistant works directly under the supervision of the Program Coordinator. QUALIFICATIONS: • A minimum of 1 year experience working with complex grant-funded projects or related program experience • Experience in coordinating community programs preferred, particularly in the areas of after school, prevention, volunteers, and health & wellness • CDL and NCOE driving clearance required • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Management • Responsible for providing administrative support to site staff on a regular basis, including support with supplies and materials orders. • Responsible for assisting with social media, newsletters and regular communication regarding program. • Maintain program calendar and update calendar with staff info, contacts and resources. • Represent the project to the public including consultants, advisory members, and constituents. • Track support requests and coordinate the provision of follow-up technical assistance. • Responsible to analyze and address problems proactively. Using judgment and discretion, must resolve problems that may not be covered by policy. Reporting • Track data and prepare draft project reports as required by funding agents • Responsible for tracking payments and providing reports to management when requested.
