Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Night Shift D11 Operator to join our surface coal mining team in Gordon, KY. The ideal candidate will operate the D11 bulldozer to support mining operations safely and efficiently during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the D11 bulldozer to move overburden, prepare mining sites, and assist in coal extraction activities.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with other mining personnel and supervisors to optimize production and address operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any incidents during the shift.
• Identify and report any mechanical issues or hazards promptly to maintenance and supervisory staff.
• Adapt to changing site conditions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment during night hours.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience operating a D11 bulldozer or similar heavy equipment in a surface coal mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of surface mining operations and safety standards.
• Ability to work night shifts reliably and maintain focus during extended hours.
• Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
• Valid heavy equipment operator certification or relevant training preferred.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulatory requirements.

Work Environment

This position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions on a surface coal mine site. The role involves operating heavy machinery during night hours and requires physical stamina and attention to detail.
