Wash Plant Superintendent - Day Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Wash Plant Superintendent to oversee day shift operations at our coal loadout facility in Balkan, KY. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in prep plant operations, strong mechanical skills, and a solid understanding of coal blending processes. This leadership role requires the ability to effectively manage and guide the wash plant team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily operations of the wash plant.
• Ensure efficient and safe coal processing and blending to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate plant personnel to maintain high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
• Coordinate maintenance and mechanical repairs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment reliability.
• Monitor plant performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall mine and loadout operations.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar leadership role in wash plant or prep plant operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of coal blending techniques and quality control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop a team effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
