Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Articulated Truck Driver to join our team at a refuse impoundment and prep plant located in Balkan, KY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating articulated trucks to transport materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate articulated trucks to haul coal, overburden, and other materials at the impoundment and prep plant.
• Ensure safe and efficient loading, transporting, and dumping of materials according to site protocols.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain communication with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate hauling activities.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating equipment.
• Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a driver for articulated trucks, preferably in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
• Knowledge of coal mine impoundment and prep plant operations is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for heavy equipment operation.

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors in an outdoor environment, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions and noise. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
