Wage Range: $90,000-$120,000

Job Summary: The Manager of Outsourcing Procurement provides people leadership in a highly collaborative organization while managing complex vendor partnerships. The role is responsible for driving sourcing strategy, resolving issues in a timely manner, and continuously improving processes to ensure outsource partnerships deliver competitive pricing, high quality, and on-time performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the Outside Purchasing Department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and overseeing the training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Oversee sourcing, negotiation, contracting, onboarding credible vendor partners and ongoing performance management, including pricing evaluations, compliance, and risk exposure.
- Own the outsource strategy aligned to capacity planning, risk mitigation and long-term cost objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with core vendor partners. Conduct annual business reviews and quarterly check-ins with top spend partners.
- Ensure the team achieves prompt resolution of vendor issues related to quality, and delivery, providing oversight to identify trends and corrective actions.
- Assist in identifying critical processes that affect the Outsourcing function and assure awareness and adherence within the team. Work to solve and build process improvements where gaps are found.
- Support an ongoing commitment to training and process documentation in the Purchasing department to ensure all processes are documented and maintained.
- Partner with cross functional teams to deliver sourcing and procurement solutions that support client delivery and quality expectations.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with management peers to align priorities, proactively address risks and drive continuous improvements across departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Excellent written, verbal and listening skills, with proven negotiation skills.
- Highly engaged people manager who thrives in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment and effectively leads through coaching, accountability, and change
- Strong time management skills and ability to organize and maintain a large volume of information and provide clear instructions to others.
- Proven ability to analyze problems, develop alternatives, make decisions, and successfully resolve escalated issues.
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency with particular Excel proficiency expected.
- Proficiency in the English language, verbally and written.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college; or five (5) years related purchasing, business or project management experience required.
- 3-5 years managing teams as a people manager strongly preferred.
- Background in Printing or Direct Mail Industry and prior knowledge of manufacturing processes relating to Purchasing functions strongly preferred.

This job operates in a hybrid office environment with exposure to a Manufacturing environment on occasion. While performing the duties of this job inside and outside the manufacturing facility/office setting, the employee is frequently exposed to normal to moderate working conditions for a hybrid office and manufacturing facility with a noise level that is usually quiet - moderate with minimal to some interruptions. The role routinely uses office equipment, software and hardware.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, type, write and be exposed to regular meetings, both virtually and in person. The employee may be required to stand/sit for long periods of time as well as use hands or fingers to reach or handle, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is sometimes required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will regularly lift 25lbs or more at a time. All vision abilities are required to encompass close-up work. Employees must be able to tolerate and endure extended seasonal hours and maintain alertness to meet deadlines.
Occasionally while performing duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to machinery and moving parts, airborne particles including paper dust and hazardous materials or fumes, which may require the use of PPE. The employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, extended seasonal hours, high precarious places, and confined spaces. The nose level in some of the work environments may require the use of hearing protection.
