NAFI Connecticut, Inc. (NAFI CT) is one of Connecticut’s most respected child and family serving agencies with program locations across the state. We are seeking a full time (Bilingual English and Spanish) Registered Nurse in our newest program, which will provide compassionate, trauma informed, short term residential care for young women, ages 13-17. The program will provide robust clinical, therapeutic, educational and case management services to unaccompanied children while working to reunite them with family members or other identified sponsors.

A Day in the Life:
- Oversee the provision of all on-site medical care of the children in the program including screening for infectious diseases, managing prescription medication, monitoring and triaging medical needs, and responding to any medical emergencies.
- Coordinate appointments for all off-site medical services (i.e. dental, optometry, etc.) and record documentation of these services
- Ensure thorough and accurate electronic health records in accordance with guidelines set forth by law and agency and funder regulatory requirements • Prepare families and sponsors to provide appropriate medical care for youth upon reunification
- Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with the funding source, collaborative partners, and other stakeholders
- Documentation and submission of medical incident reporting to both state and federal stakeholders.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
- Required: CT RN license
- Required: Bilingual (English / Spanish) with strong communication skills, both oral and written including effective public speaking
- The ability to work flexible hours including on-call

Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 / per year (depending on degree and experience)
