Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Eloy, Arizona
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and manage daily pill call.
- Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and sick call.
- Execute physician orders and perform nursing procedures within the scope of LPN licensure.
- Monitor, assess, and document inmate/resident health conditions and behaviors.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and confidential health records.
- Inventory, secure, and manage medications, syringes, and medical supplies.
- Perform emergency nursing procedures when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the medical unit and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain medical reports, logs, and operational records.
- Review medical charts and assist with treatment planning for inmates/residents with complex health needs.
- Inspect the medical unit for safety hazards and contraband.
- Escort inmates/residents for medical treatment as required.
- Assist with investigations, incident reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Support accreditation standards, including NCCHC, ACA, and JCAHO requirements.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, correctional personnel, inmates/residents, and administration.
- Maintain a safe working environment while adhering to facility policies and security procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in a secure correctional healthcare environment.
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
- English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking).
Salary : $40 - $43
