Litigation Attorney - Elder Abuse / Personal Injury
Location: Century City, CA | In-Person (Hybrid option available after 90 days)
MW Talent is partnering with a respected and rapidly growing plaintiff-side law firm in Century City to hire an experienced Litigation Attorney. This role focuses primarily on elder abuse litigation, with additional personal injury matters, and is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about advocating for injured and vulnerable clients.
The firm handles complex and meaningful cases and provides strong internal support so attorneys can focus on litigation and client advocacy. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to grow their career within a collaborative and high-performing legal team.
This position is fully in-office, with the possibility of working one day per week from home after the first 90 days.
Key responsibilities
Handle litigation matters involving elder abuse and personal injury cases
Manage and supervise 40 active litigation files
Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Serve as first chair at trial when required and lead cases through verdict
Draft pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, and trial briefs
Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
Manage litigation deadlines and overall case progression
Work closely with case managers, paralegals, and other attorneys to prepare cases for litigation and trial
Mentor and guide junior team members when appropriate
Communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress and legal strategy
Maintain high professional standards while advocating for injured and vulnerable clients
Requirements
Active license and admission to the California State Bar
5 years of litigation experience, with the majority of experience in elder abuse litigation
Personal injury litigation experience is a plus
Must have first-chair trial experience with proven trial success and results
Ability to manage and supervise 40 active litigation files
Ability to travel throughout California for court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials when required
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
Superior oral advocacy, legal writing, and research skills
Advanced knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and California personal injury law
Proficiency with Litify, Filevine, or similar legal case management systems
Technologically proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and legal software tools)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to meet strict litigation deadlines while managing multiple cases
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed individual and firm performance goals
Stable work history demonstrating long-term commitment in previous roles
