Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Cardiac Telephone Triage Nurse. In this role, you will provide high-quality triage services over the phone, assisting patients with cardiac-related symptoms and concerns. This is a non-direct patient care role, where you will assess symptoms, provide guidance based on approved protocols, and ensure patients receive the appropriate level of care.
Responsibilities
- Answer and manage incoming symptomatic calls from patients.
- Triage patients over the phone using approved protocols and clinical judgment.
- Provide clear, compassionate, and accurate health guidance.
- Document patient interactions thoroughly and accurately.
- Collaborate with providers and the healthcare team as needed.
- Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Active RN license (State of practice).
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience within a clinical specialty.
- BLS certification (current and active).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous cardiac experience is strongly preferred.
- Telephone triage experience is a plus.

- Contract Duration: 16 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
