Growing dynamic nursing home management group is looking for reliable and compassionate STNAs to join our team at Mt Airy Gardens .
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) – Ohio-specific certified healthcare aide providing direct patient care in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and residential care facilities.
Role Overview
An STNA who is able to work under the supervision of registered nurses and other licensed staff, LPN, to deliver essential care to residents. The role requires compassion, physical stamina, and attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining residents’ comfort, safety, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities: Bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting, adapting to residents’ needs and mobility levels
- Mobility and transfers: Help residents move safely between bed, chair, and toilet, using transfer aids as needed and as per care plan
- Hygiene and grooming: Assist with oral care, dental hygiene, and skin care to prevent sores and infections. Brushing and maintaining Teeth.
- Meal preparation and service: Prepare residents for meals, ensure proper nutrition, and record food/fluid intake
- Medical assistance: Help with basic procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and preparing residents for exams or procedures
- Environmental care: Keep rooms clean and tidy, maintain hygiene of shared spaces, overbed tables clean, call lights within reach and trash emptied when needed.
- Emotional support: Provide companionship, encourage participation in activities, and support residents and families.
- Documentation: Accurately record observations, care provided, and any changes in condition on flow sheets or charting. Notify nursing when observations require assessement and further documentation.
- Infection control: Follow strict protocols for handwashing, PPE use, and safe handling of equipment.
Work Environment
- Setting: Long-term care
- Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts and every other weekend rotation for full time, Part time is every other weekend and a schedule that requires 20 hours a week. PRN is 3 shifts a month with one of those shift requiring a weekend day.
- Physical demands: Lifting, transferring, and standing for long periods; requires good physical strength and endurance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
