Job Functions
- Plan, estimate, design, and oversee the construction, installation, and maintenance of plant infrastructure and facility systems.
- Develop specifications for equipment, utilities, and systems that support plant operations and facility processes.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to plant infrastructure, utility systems, and facility operations to ensure uninterrupted production support.
- Support and maintain critical facility systems, including but not limited to:
- Boilers
- Air compressors
- Chillers and HVAC systems
- Electrical distribution systems (15kV, 480V, and 120V)
- Standby generators and UPS systems
- Fiber optic and Ethernet communication networks
- Life safety systems, including fire detection, notification, and suppression systems
- Security systems such as card access, surveillance cameras, and gate controls
- Interior and exterior lighting systems
- Coordinate and manage activities involving skilled in-house trades personnel, supervisors, external contractors, and service technicians.
- Design, implement, and support electrical infrastructure systems and related equipment for plant operations.
- Apply practical knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA) and NFPA 70E Electrical Safety standards in all engineering and maintenance activities.
- Participate actively in cross-functional teams and collaborative engineering initiatives.
- Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Support project management activities and perform general plant engineering responsibilities to improve facility reliability and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Plant Engineering, Facility Engineering, or related industrial environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar engineering design software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities with the capability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering schematics.
- Solid understanding of building systems, utility infrastructure, and industrial facility operations.
- Ability to work effectively in an industrial manufacturing environment.
