Key Responsibilities
- Provide shop floor maintenance support by contributing to both reactive and preventive maintenance activities, as well as maintenance process improvements, through daily collaboration with Skilled Trades teams, Maintenance Supervisors, and Production personnel to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Act as the secondary escalation point for production emergencies involving unexpected equipment or machine breakdowns.
- Maintain and oversee equipment-related documentation, including maintenance schedules, spare parts inventories, machine drawings, and technical manuals, ensuring accessibility for maintenance operations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for maintenance support, procurement of spare parts, and specialized repair activities.
- Monitor and evaluate Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improving maintenance effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to maintenance personnel on engineering standards, maintenance methodologies, and process controls.
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs and spare parts strategies within the Company’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Lead equipment-related projects, including retrofits, upgrades, and replacement initiatives, while managing project budgets and timelines.
- Ensure proper organization and control of technical records, equipment schematics, and engineering documentation for production systems.
- Support maintenance readiness and equipment commissioning activities for new production line installations and launches.
- Ensure all engineering and maintenance practices comply with applicable safety regulations, environmental standards, and government requirements.
- Contribute as a strategic team member in driving Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives and future maintenance strategies.
- Create, review, and manage maintenance work orders and purchase requisitions through the CMMS platform.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- 5–7 years of experience in Maintenance Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities Operations, Environmental Operations, or related industrial environments.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing materials, equipment, and production methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar engineering/design software.
