Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Irvine/Paul Alto, CA, for a Senior Electrical Characterization Engineer, The role will take ownership of the design verification and characterization of electronic control units (ECUs) for infotainment, telematics, SDV zonal controllers, and battery systems. Responsibilities include developing and executing detailed test plans, conducting bench-level electrical testing for all ECU versions and revisions, and collaborating with cross-functional electrical engineering teams to define test requirements. The role also involves developing hardware and software automation solutions at scale, analyzing test results, and ensuring regulatory and design compliance.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Design
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Systems and general Electricity principles
- Experience with Power Distribution and Power Systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex electrical designs for automotive applications
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret technical data and electrical schematics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with automotive standards and testing methodologies is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Characterization
