Position Overview
Seeking skilled Assemblers to join its manufacturing operations team in Everett, WA. These roles are essential in assembling, testing, and inspecting mechanical and electro-mechanical components used in aerospace products. The work requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
The Assembler 4 role focuses on mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, product testing, and inspection to maintain production flow.
The Assembler 5 (Mechanical Assembler) role involves more complex and technical sub-assembly operations, including riveting, electrical component installation, and small parts fabrication.
Both positions are part of a collaborative production environment supporting advanced aviation manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Assemble, test, and inspect mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
- Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches).
- Identify and document product defects, perform rework or repairs as required.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized workstations following company safety protocols.
- Ensure all assembly work meets Collins Aerospace quality standards and engineering requirements.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting improvements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Assembler 4: Minimum 2 years of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience (3 years in lieu of diploma).
- Assembler 5: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (2 years in lieu of diploma).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using standard and precision tools.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in a standing position for extended periods.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Everett facility (condition of employment).
Preferred Experience
- Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience.
- Experience working with sheet metal assemblies, electrical wiring, or complex mechanical units.
- Understanding of torque specifications, fasteners, and calibration requirements.
Additional Information
- Positions are fully onsite in Everett, WA.
- Overtime is available on a voluntary basis after training completion.
- Potential for extension or temp-to-perm based on performance and project workload.
