MS Companies is seeking an ambitious, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help expand our presence throughout Eastern Michigan and the greater Detroit market.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives across the Detroit Metro and Eastern Michigan region
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship development
  • Manage the full sales cycle:
  • outreach
  • discovery
  • proposal development
  • negotiations
  • closing
  • account expansion
  • Build long-term partnerships with manufacturing, operations, HR, quality, and executive leadership teams
  • Conduct onsite client meetings, facility visits, presentations, and networking activities throughout the region
  • Maintain pipeline activity, forecasting, and account updates within Salesforce CRM
  • Collaborate internally with recruiting, operations, and leadership teams to ensure strong customer delivery and satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings within existing client accounts
  • Represent MS Companies at industry events, trade shows, and regional networking functions


What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of B2B sales, business development, account management, or staffing/services sales experience
  • Proven ability to manage a full sales cycle and close new business opportunities
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Highly organized with strong time management and pipeline management abilities
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug screening

Preferred Experience

  • Automotive, manufacturing, logistics, industrial, aerospace, or operational services experience
  • Staffing, workforce solutions, consulting, or service-based sales experience
  • Existing relationships within the Michigan manufacturing or industrial market
  • Experience engaging plant managers, operations leaders, HR teams, and executive stakeholders
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, Pardot, or similar prospecting tools
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding sales quotas or revenue targets

Territory & Travel

  • Territory focus: Eastern Michigan / Detroit Metro (East of Lansing)
  • Candidates should reside within the Detroit Metro area
  • Regular regional travel required for client meetings and business development activities
