Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with 0–2 years of experience to join our automotive production team in Seymour, IN. This position supports manufacturing operations with a focus on process improvement, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting in a stamping, plating, and roll forming environment. This is a very mechanically focused role, ideal for candidates who enjoy working directly on the production floor and solving technical challenges in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot issues on stamping, roll forming, and plating lines
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve uptime and quality
- Identify and drive process improvements for safety, efficiency, and reliability
- Support maintenance and production staff in resolving mechanical issues
- Analyze production metrics and assist in optimizing line performance
- Read and interpret GD&T engineering blueprints for process validation and inspection planning
- Assist with tooling or fixture modifications and preventive maintenance efforts
- Document and support SOPs and work instructions in line with TPS (Toyota Production System) principles
Preferred Background
- Experience or exposure to:
- Stamping, Plating, Roll Forming processes
- Automotive components (e.g., door frames, handles, interior/exterior trim)
- Blueprint reading with GD&T
- Root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
- PLC troubleshooting/programming (preferred)
- Toyota Production System (TPS) methodologies (preferred)
- Microsoft Office (intermediate level preferred)
- Welding HMI systems (preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial) – not required
- Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude or maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator and team player

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
