Job Title: Valve Body Supervisor
Position Summary
The Valve Body Supervisor oversees daily operations of the valve body inspection and assembly area, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This role provides hands-on guidance to team members, drives process improvements, and ensures all inspection, sorting, and diagnostic activities meet company standards. The supervisor will mentor staff, manage workflow, and serve as the key point of contact between production, quality, and management.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, coach, and support the valve body inspection and assembly team to meet production, quality, and safety targets.
- Plan, prioritize, and delegate daily work assignments to maintain efficient workflow.
- Foster a positive, high-energy environment focused on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Provide training on inspection methods, cleanliness standards, proper documentation, and updated procedures.
Quality & Inspection
- Oversee inspection of valve body components for quality, cleanliness, fit, and overall integrity.
- Ensure team follows all written and digital inspection instructions, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Drive efforts to identify, reduce, and prevent departmental quality escapes.
- Implement new or revised inspection criteria and ensure standards are clearly communicated and adhered to.
Technical & Process Support
- Guide the team in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues within valve body units.
- Support root-cause analysis for defects and collaborate with management, engineering, and Cell Assembly to improve quality outcomes.
- Assist in rolling out process changes, quality updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Inventory & Workflow Management
- Oversee sorting, organizing, and maintaining inventory of valve body components.
- Ensure proper use of kanban systems and inventory flow processes.
- Verify that component identification and documentation follow established guidelines.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
