You'll serve as a technical leader, partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and Supply Chain to develop innovative products that meet demanding customer expectations.

What You Will Do

• Lead the development of innovative new products and major enhancements to existing product lines.
• Own the technical direction of projects from concept, design, validation, and commercialization.
• Develop robust mechanical designs that deliver exceptional performance, quality, and long-term reliability.
• Utilize advanced 3D CAD modeling and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimize product performance.
• Develop and execute product verification and validation plans to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure designs meet Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) objectives.
• Evaluate materials, manufacturing processes, and emerging technologies to improve product performance and durability.
• Lead technical problem-solving efforts for complex engineering challenges using structured analytical methodologies.
• Coordinate testing with internal teams and third-party certification agencies, including UL, CE, NSF, FM, and Intrinsic Safety organizations.
• Partner with Supply Chain to improve product cost, manufacturability, and overall value.
• Support Sales, Customer Service, and field teams by providing technical expertise and resolving customer issues.
• Mentor junior engineers while helping establish engineering best practices across the organization.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 7 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably focused on new product development.
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD modeling and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects from concept through production.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and engineering decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience balancing product performance, manufacturability, cost, and customer requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) experience or Green Belt certification.
• Experience integrating electronic components into mechanical product designs.
• Experience working in highly engineered product development environments.
