Movement Search and Delivery is partnering with a growing Tier 1 automotive supplier to identify and evaluate a Program Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead high-profile automotive programs supporting one of the industry's largest OEMs. The exact company and location are being kept confidential.
About the Role
This is far more than a program coordination position. We're seeking a leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys taking full ownership of complex automotive launches from concept through full-rate production.
You'll serve as the primary point of contact for both the customer and internal leadership, ensuring programs stay on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. Success in this role requires outstanding leadership, technical credibility, and the ability to bring cross-functional teams together to solve problems before they become customer issues.
What You Will Do
- Lead multiple automotive programs from prototype through launch and full production.
- Manage overall program timing, budgets, milestones, and customer deliverables.
- Drive Stage-Gate execution while proactively identifying and mitigating program risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Tooling, and Operations.
- Lead engineering change management (ECOs) and oversee successful implementation.
- Ensure successful execution of APQP, PPAP, launch readiness, and customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary customer interface, building trusted relationships while managing expectations and resolving issues.
- Monitor key program metrics including cost, timing, quality, OEE, labor efficiency, and Run@Rate performance.
- Drive accountability across internal teams to ensure flawless program execution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and operational performance.
What You Need to Succeed
- Proven Program Management experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier.
- Direct experience supporting Ford Motor Company programs is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong understanding of automotive product launches and manufacturing operations.
- Working knowledge of:
- APQP
- PPAP
- Engineering Change Management (ECO)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence decisions and drive results across multiple departments without direct authority.
- Automotive
- Engineering background.
- Experience managing complex customer launches within an OEM automotive environment.
