Movement Search and Delivery is working with a leading manufacturing company in Elkhart County to identify and evaluate a Plant Manager
🔧 Plant Manager (Night Shift) – Production-Focused Role
Step into a Plant Manager title at one of the largest operations in the space.
This is a night shift Plant Manager role (6:00pm – 4:30am) supporting a ~1,000-person operation that’s continuing to grow as production is consolidated into this site.
This is not a “sit in the office” Plant Manager role.
This is:
- On the floor
- Managing through supervisors
- Keeping production moving in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment
🧠What you’ll actually be doing:
- Running night shift operations and hitting production targets
- Leading through supervisors / team leads (not just individual contributors)
- Troubleshooting bottlenecks and keeping flow moving
- Driving accountability, safety, and output across the shift
- Coaching leaders and building a stronger production team
🏠The environment:
- High-volume chassis production (welding assembly)
- Growing operation with new production being brought onsite
- Big team, real responsibility, high visibility
- Reports directly to the General Manager
🎯 What they’re looking for:
- Strong production leader (Production Manager, Ops Manager, etc.)
- Experience in manufacturing — metals, assembly, automotive, or similar
- Comfortable managing in a hands-on, floor-driven environment
- Experience leading through supervisors in a multi-shift operation
- Someone who can handle pace, pressure, and growth
