Plant Controller
Location: Oklahoma City, OK (On-Site)
Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 Base Salary 10% Bonus
Position Summary
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Plant Controller to lead plant-level accounting and finance activities. This role will partner closely with operations leadership to drive profitability, improve manufacturing performance, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities
- Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing analysis
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to identify savings opportunities
- Develop and maintain product costing models and support pricing decisions
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and monthly financial results
- Partner with plant leadership to improve operational efficiency and profitability
- Support new business quoting and capital investment analysis
- Oversee month-end close and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Calculate and maintain burden rates, labor rates, and manufacturing cost standards
- Manage inventory controls and support physical inventory processes
- Lead and develop the local accounting team
- Provide financial guidance and decision support to plant and corporate leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong cost accounting and inventory accounting experience
- Experience supporting plant operations and manufacturing leadership teams
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Experience
- Automotive or industrial manufacturing experience
- Previous Plant Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Cost Accountant experience
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environments
