Vermont Permanency Initiative (VPI) is hiring Residential Counselors for our Bennington, VT program to provide support and mentorship to youth in a therapeutic residential environment.

Full-Time Schedules Available:

Front Half (Sun–Wed):

• Sunday: 9 AM–11 PM
• Monday: 1 PM–11 PM
• Tuesday: 3 PM–11 PM
• Wednesday: 3 PM–11 PM
  
  
  

Back Half (Wed–Sat):

• Wednesday: 3 PM–11 PM
• Thursday: 1 PM–11 PM
• Friday: 3 PM–11 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM–11 PM
  
  
  

What You’ll Do:

As a Residential Counselor, you’ll:

• Provide supervision, structure, and positive role modeling
• Support youth in building life skills, communication, and emotional regulation
• Assist with daily routines, behavioral support, and crisis intervention
• Engage youth in recreational, educational, and social activities
• Work collaboratively in a trauma‑informed, team‑based environment
  
  
  

What You Need:

• HS diploma or GED (college preferred)
• Experience working with youth or relevant Human Services coursework
• Must be 21
• Driver’s license preferred
• CPR preferred
• Ability to pass background and pre‑employment checks
