What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valve Technician (47491) position at Motion & Control Enterprises?
At PPV, an MCE Company, we’re growing – and we’re hiring a Valve Technician to help us grow even further!
Performs maintenance, repair, and testing of various valves including relief valves, control valves, tank vents, etc.
Essential duties
- Follow safety and quality procedures
- Cleaning, blasting, and painting of various valve components
- Operate equipment blaster, parts washer, torch, forklift, and other related equipment
- Performs re-machining or lapping of critical parts
- Perform field work as needed
Required skills/abilities
- Must be able to read measuring devices
- Must be able to document and enter job data
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills
Physical requirements
The physical requirements for this position are typical for a mobile employee including constant movement within a wide range of office environments, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping and lifting 50 pounds.
