Position Summary:
This is a rare permanent opportunity for a US-trained Real Estate Associate to relocate to Tokyo and join one of the office’s busiest and highest-performing transactional teams. Responsibilities:
- Advise on complex cross-border real estate transactions involving US and Japanese stakeholders
- Work closely with US-qualified partners, bengoshi partners, and international deal teams
- Support acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, development projects, and other real estate-driven transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents in a fast-paced international environment
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams across multiple jurisdictions
Looking For:
- US-qualified Real Estate Associate, ideally around 3rd to 4th year level
- BigLaw training from a major US legal market such as New York, Boston, Washington DC, California, or similar
- Strong real estate transactional experience and the ability to operate at a high technical level
- Genuine interest in relocating to Tokyo for a long-term opportunity
- Japanese language ability is not required, but cultural adaptability and international mindset are important
