Location: Long Island, NY (5 days onsite)
A boutique commercial real estate law firm is looking to add a Commercial Real Estate Associate with strong leasing experience to its team.
The firm works on national retail leasing, as well as acquisitions, sales and financing matters, representing established commercial clients across the U.S. This is a hands-on role where you will run deals from drafting through to closing and work directly with clients.
The Role
You will be responsible for handling commercial real estate transactions from start to finish in a fast-paced environment.
You will be drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases, often with a retail focus, and managing transactions through to closing. The role involves regular interaction with clients and counterparties, including landlords, tenants, buyers, sellers and lenders. You will be expected to handle multiple matters at once and stay on top of timelines.
Must Have Experience
- You should have around 3 to 7 years of commercial real estate experience, with a strong focus on leasing.
- You need to be comfortable drafting and negotiating leases independently and able to run a deal from beginning to end.
- A solid understanding of how transactions are structured and how the different parties interact is essential.
- You should be able to manage multiple deals efficiently and stay responsive throughout.
- This role requires being in the office full time.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with retail leasing portfolios would be helpful.
- Exposure to acquisitions, dispositions or real estate finance is a plus.
- Experience in a high-volume transactional environment would translate well.
- Any client-facing experience or relationship management is beneficial.
- Candidates coming from smaller or hands-on environments tend to do well here.

Compensation
