Morgan Hunter is partnering with a manufacturing organization in the Kansas City Metro area to add an HR Manager to support plant operations. This role will serve as the primary HR partner for a production facility, working closely with leadership to support employee relations, labor relations, and day-to-day HR operations.
This position is ideal for an experienced HR professional who is confident working in a manufacturing setting, comfortable working with leaders and navigating labor relations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR partner for plant leadership and employees
- Manage employee relations, including coaching, performance management, and investigations
- Support and maintain a positive union relationship, including handling grievances and discipline
- Assist with recruiting and staffing for plant-level roles
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, retention, and engagement initiatives
- Support training, compliance, and workers’ compensation matters
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
Qualifications
- 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Union/labor relations experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
