Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Benefits and Payroll Service Manager, the Human Resources Specialist will play a key role in delivering exceptional HR support to our clients and their employees. This position is responsible for coordinating critical onboarding and employment processes, ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records, and creating a positive candidate and employee experience from offer acceptance through onboarding and beyond.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities for multiple client organizations, ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience.
- Coordinate and administer pre-employment processes, including background screenings, drug testing, employment verifications, offer letter preparation, and new hire documentation.
- Manage and complete Form I-9 verification processes in compliance with federal regulations.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation activities, ensuring employees have the tools and information needed for a successful start.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, employees, and clients, responding to inquiries in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
- Maintain confidential employee and client information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and related administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Previous experience in a human resources, customer service, or related administrative role.
- Working knowledge of employment documentation and compliance requirements, including I-9 verification and pre-employment screening processes.
- Strong technical aptitude and experience using HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems such as Paylocity, UKG, ADP, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and committed to delivering high-quality work with accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
