Director of Grant Proposals

Morgan Hunter is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to add a Director of Grant Proposals to their team. This role will lead grant strategy and execution, supporting funding initiatives through proposal development, reporting, and relationship management with key funding partners.

This is a highly impactful position for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution, leading a small team while working cross-functionally to secure and manage grant funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and submission of grant proposals, including large and federal funding opportunities
• Manage and mentor a small team responsible for grant writing and reporting
• Research and identify new funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals
• Build and maintain relationships with grant funders and community partners
• Oversee grant reporting, compliance, and post-award processes
• Partner with internal teams to gather data, track outcomes, and ensure reporting accuracy
• Monitor grant budgets and support alignment with financial and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with leadership to support overall funding strategy and initiatives

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in grant writing and grants management
• Experience working with large or federal grants preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong writing, organizational, and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Passion for supporting mission-driven work
