Role Description The Litigation Associate will handle a variety of personal injury cases from initial intake through resolution in a full-time, on-site role located in Garland, TX. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, managing discovery, and preparing cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial. The role involves taking and defending depositions, attending hearings and other court appearances, and communicating regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members. The Litigation Associate will collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies, evaluate liability and damages, and pursue effective settlements or verdicts. The position requires strong organizational skills, adherence to deadlines, and a commitment to client-centered advocacy.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in personal injury law and civil litigation, including familiarity with relevant statutes, case law, and procedural rules.
- Experience drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive motions, discovery motions, and pretrial filings.
- Proficiency in legal research, fact investigation, and case analysis using legal databases and other resources.
- Ability to conduct and manage depositions, including preparation of outlines, questioning witnesses, and reviewing transcripts.
- Comfort appearing in courts, handling hearings, scheduling orders, and coordinating with court personnel.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Texas (or ability to obtain promptly).
- 1–4 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or related practice areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clear, persuasive advocacy.
- Strong time management, case management, and organizational abilities, with capacity to handle multiple matters simultaneously.
