What You'll Do
As a Health Clinic RN, you'll be a critical part of the school health team, helping to ensure that students receive timely, appropriate care. You'll:
- Support the delivery of school health services and maintain a calm, responsive clinic environment
- Perform student health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) and assist with immunization programs
- Provide first aid and emergency care, including calling EMS if necessary
- Collect and maintain student health records and treatment authorizations
- Administer medications under nurse supervision and monitor medication storage
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families about health concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with health and safety regulations
- Valid Ohio Board of Nursing RN license and compliance with state educational requirements
- A calm, organized presence and strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and respond to health situations with empathy and professionalism
- Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
