About the Role
Montecito Bank & Trust is offering a paid part-time Human Resources Internship in our Human Resources Department. As a Human Resources Intern, you will deliver a World Class Experience by supporting the Human Resources department. This intern will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with all members of the Human Resources team as well as other Bank Departments as needed. You will be located in Santa Barbara, CA with a fully on-site work schedule.
What We’re Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of College/University coursework preferred; most relevant coursework may include business, sociology, psychology, or organizational development.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of basic analytic tools and concepts.
- Agile and adaptable.
Your Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative support to HRIS system.
- Assist with various HR functions such as job descriptions, process mapping, procedure maintenance, and HR presentations.
- Use pulse surveys, tracking, and reporting to support department initiatives and HR programs.
- Provide support for process efficiencies across all HR functions.
- Assist with other HR projects as assigned.
Internship Schedule
- The internship program will run from May/June 2026 through August/September 2026 (flexible depending on school schedule or other job obligations).
- The position will be on-site up to 30 hours per week, with no ability to work remote, for up to 12 weeks.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.00.
