Hours: Full-Time – 3rd Shift
Position Summary:
The Kitchen Utility position is responsible for performing comprehensive deep cleaning and sanitizing of the kitchen, equipment, and surrounding areas to ensure a safe, hygienic, and fully operational environment for the next service period. This role provides nightly support to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards in strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform thorough deep cleaning of the kitchen after closing, including floors, walls, ceilings, drains, hoods, and work surfaces.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain all kitchen equipment, appliances, ovens, grills, fryers, and refrigeration units according to established procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Adhere to all Indian Health Service (IHS), Wisconsin Health Code, and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations pertaining to food service sanitation and facility cleanliness.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and cleaning equipment.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly utility storage area.
- Dispose of waste, grease, and recyclables in accordance with casino policies and environmental standards.
- Follow strict cleaning and sanitization protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
- Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Maintain proper personal hygiene and always follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Safeguard casino assets at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
UNIFORM:
- Clean, professional attire (casino-issued attire when applicable).
- Sokaogon Gaming Commission (SGC) issued Gaming License/ID Badge.
- Required use of gloves, non-slip shoes, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two forms of ID, one of which must be a valid photo ID.
- Must submit to and pass a drug and alcohol screening in accordance with the Sokaogon Gaming Enterprise Corporation (SGEC) Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- Must successfully pass a Background Investigation.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physically able to perform all job-related tasks.
- Ability to correctly lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts based on operational needs.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, pressure washers) and handle industrial cleaning chemicals.
- Successfully complete a 60-day introductory period.
- Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to interact well with co-workers and work as part of a team.
- Native American preference is granted according to P.L. 93-638.
