Reports To: Restaurant Manager / General Manager
Location: Moderna Bar & Pizzeria
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly

Position Overview:
Supports bartenders and bar operations to ensure efficient service, cleanliness, and a polished guest experience. The barback helps maintain the flow of service by anticipating needs, restocking supplies, and keeping the bar area clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders with bar setup, restocking, and breakdown.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, including shelves, coolers, and prep stations.
• Refill ice bins, replenish liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and garnishes as needed.
• Collect and polish glassware; ensure an adequate supply throughout the shift.
• Remove trash, empty recycling, and replace liners discreetly and efficiently.
• Assist with bar inventory and deliveries; rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Support bartenders during busy hours by running drinks or clearing glassware.
• Follow all sanitation and safety procedures in compliance with health regulations.
• Exhibit a professional appearance and uphold Moderna’s brand standards at all times.
• Maintain a positive and team-oriented attitude, contributing to a productive bar environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in Texas.
• Must be TABC Certified.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Must be able to multi task.

Appearance & Conduct:

• Uniform must be clean, pressed, and properly fitted.
• Hair must be neat and pulled back if long.
• No visible rips or stains in clothing; non-slip shoes required.
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly and efficiently.
