Location: Moderna Bar and Pizzeria
Status: Non- Exempt/ Hourly

Position Summary:
The Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen at Moderna Bar & Pizzeria. This position is responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and organized. The Dishwasher supports kitchen staff by maintaining a clean work environment and assisting with basic kitchen duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and sinks.
• Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners regularly.
• Assist kitchen staff with cleaning and food prep tasks as requested by management.
• Inspect dishes and equipment for cleanliness before returning to service areas.
• Properly handle and store cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Maintain clean and safe workstations throughout the shift.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the manager on duty.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
• Must have valid food handlers certification.

Appearance and Conduct:

• Must report to work in clean, approved uniform and non-slip shoes.
• Personal hygiene and grooming must meet Moderna’s professional standards.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and respect for co-workers and leadership are expected at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying heavy items.
• Comfortable working in a hot, humid environment near dish machines and kitchen equipment.
