We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room (OR) to deliver high-quality care to patients. This role involves utilizing the nursing process in alignment with established practices and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will effectively interact with patients, families, and visitors while upholding professional nursing standards. The nurse will provide both physical and psychological support to patients throughout their surgical journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the operating room.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective patient care.
- Circulate in various surgical specialties including Gynecology, ENT, Urology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Vascular.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room.
- Proficient in circulating surgeries across multiple specialties.
- Experience with MediTech electronic medical records.
- Skilled in caring for patients of all demographics.
- Active Arkansas/AR or Compact nursing license.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association.
Weekend and Call Requirements
This position includes a 36-hour work guarantee with the following requirements:
- One 24-hour weekend call shift per month.
- Three to four additional on-call shifts per month.
Working Environment
The operating room consists of 11 beds with a 1:1 RN to patient ratio, ensuring focused and individualized patient care. The facility is equipped with advanced medical technology, providing an essential base for high-quality surgical services.
