We're hiring a Workday Integration Engineer to join a cross-functional Workday shop spanning HR, Finance, Payroll, and Operations. This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role with true end-to-end ownership of Workday Studio integrations across HCM and Finance. You'll work directly with business stakeholders, translating complex technical tradeoffs into decisions non-technical teams can act on. You'll partner daily with HR from day one, with a natural runway to expand into Finance as the role matures.
This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days onsite in Rosemont, IL.
What You’ll Do
- Independently design, build, and maintain Workday integrations end-to-end with minimal oversight
- Build and maintain Workday Studio custom integrations at scale
- Deliver and support Workday Core Connectors and EIBs across Finance, HCM, and Payroll
- Architect and develop robust integration solutions using EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Document Transforms, BIRT, Studio, and SOA/BPEL components
- Lead the full integration development lifecycle: requirements gathering, build, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
- Author and maintain Advanced Reporting content in support of integrations and business needs
- Configure and support Business Process Framework workflows
- Produce clear technical documentation for integrations, hand-offs, and ongoing support
- Partner cross-functionally across Finance, HR, Operations, and IT
- Triage and resolve high-priority, business-critical integration issues in a fast-paced environment
Required:
- At least 2 years of hands-on Workday Integrations experience w/ Workday Studio
- Deep, hands-on Workday Studio experience - this is a MUST!
- Proficiency across Workday Core Connectors, EIBs, and standard Workday Payroll integrations
- Report creation and Advanced Reporting knowledge with Business Process Framework context
- Strong understanding of Web Services, XML, and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST, WS standards)
- Experience with either Workday HCM or Workday Finance integrations
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical Finance, HR, Operations, and IT stakeholders
- Proven track record managing competing priorities and resolving complex issues independently
Preferred:
- Experience spanning both Workday HCM and Finance integrations
- Prior experience in a shared-services or multi-module Workday environment
- Exposure to enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives

Salary : $110,000 - $135,000
