IT Support Technician - Onsite Support
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Pay: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with 3 days from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 2 days from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Work Setting: Onsite
Job Type: Contract, with potential for extension and conversion
About the Role
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support in a fast-paced, enterprise environment. This role is responsible for supporting end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving a wide range of IT issues, including desktop, laptop, software, hardware, and basic networking concerns.
This position is ideal for a technically skilled professional who also brings a strong customer service mindset and thrives in a collaborative, high-visibility support role.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner
- Provide basic to intermediate technical support to end users in an enterprise environment
- Diagnosing and resolve application, desktop, and laptop software issues
- Install, configure, and maintain software, print drives, utilities, and related applications
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues
- Monitor systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
- Document all support activities and ensure proper escalation when necessary
- Deliver consistent, customer-focused support while meeting service level expectations
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve complex technical issues
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of IT support experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 to 3 years of customer service experience in a professional environment
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of desktop and laptop operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting software, hardware, and basic networking issues
- Experience installing and configuring software applications and print drivers
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional schedule adjustments as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise users in a client-facing environment
- Previous experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, notebooks, and printers
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional IT teams for escalations and resolution
