Hiring: 2x Safety Positions - Heavy Civil Construction
Location: Central Florida
Our client, a leading heavy civil general contractor is looking to add two safety professionals to support a growing backlog of FDOT and site-development projects across Central Florida.

1. Safety Officer – Field Based
Starting Salary: $65,000 company vehicle full benefits
This position will work directly across active heavy civil construction projects, supporting field teams and ensuring work is completed safely and in line with company and OSHA requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct regular job-site safety inspections
- Ensure employees and subcontractors follow company and OSHA safety procedures
- Lead toolbox talks and site safety meetings
- Identify hazards and work with project teams to resolve them
- Assist with incident investigations and reporting
- Maintain safety documentation and training records
- Support field leadership in maintaining a strong safety culture
This role would suit someone who enjoys being out on projects, working closely with Superintendents, Foremen and field crews.
2. Safety Administrator – FDOT Compliance
Starting Salary: $70,000 full benefits
This position will focus primarily on the administrative and compliance side of the safety department, with particular responsibility for supporting FDOT projects and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain FDOT safety and compliance documentation
- Prepare and organize project safety files, reports and records
- Track employee certifications, training and renewals
- Assist with audits, inspections and compliance submissions
- Support incident reporting and corrective-action documentation
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure required paperwork is completed accurately and on time
- Assist the Safety Manager with wider departmental administration
