A rapidly growing, NYC-based alternative investment manager with a large, diversified credit platform is seeking a Tax Manager or Tax Vice President to oversee tax compliance and planning across the management company, investment funds, and related SPVs. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the firm’s senior tax leader and will play a key role in building out the tax function.
Responsibilities
- Oversee tax compliance for the management company, investment funds, and SPVs
- Manage and coordinate with a Big 4 firm responsible for tax return preparation
- Review partnership tax filings and related deliverables
- Assist with tax planning initiatives and structuring matters
- Support tax provisions and related reporting (primarily partnership, some corporate)
- Serve as a key tax resource for internal stakeholders across finance and operations
- Help build and scale the internal tax function, including hiring and mentoring junior staff over time

- Hybrid schedule: in-office Tuesday through Thursday in NYC

Qualifications
- 7–11 years of public accounting or public/private fund tax experience
- Strong partnership fund tax experience (required)
- CPA highly preferred
- Experience working with or managing Big 4 tax providers
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable being hands-on in a growing organization
Salary : $175,000 - $225,000
