What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Situations Credit Analyst position at Mission Staffing?
A well-established NYC-based investment firm is seeking an Analyst to join its lean investment team focused on middle market stressed, special situations, and distressed credit opportunities.
Responsibilities will include:
- Identify and evaluate attractive credit investment opportunities across a variety of industries
- Conduct independent credit, valuation, and industry analyses
- Build and maintain detailed financial models
- Review legal documentation, including credit agreements, indentures, and intercreditor agreements
- Perform due diligence and prepare investment memorandums highlighting key risks and investment merits
- Participate in meetings with management teams, industry experts, lenders, and other market participants
Ideal Background:
- 2 years of experience in High Yield/Leveraged Loan Research, or a credit investing role
- Strong accounting, financial modeling, and credit analysis skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information and develop independent investment views
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
