Our client, a global investment manager is seeking a Corporate Actions Analyst to support its fixed income business. This individual will be responsible for the full lifecycle of corporate action events, with a focus on fixed income securities, ensuring accurate processing, risk mitigation, and timely communication across internal teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Process and manage the full lifecycle of corporate action events (mandatory, voluntary, and elective) across fixed income securities
- Review and interpret corporate action announcements from custodians, trustees, and data vendors
- Monitor income events including coupons, redemptions, calls, tenders, and restructurings
- Reconcile corporate action events against internal systems and custodial records
- Coordinate elections and ensure accurate and timely instruction to custodians
- Partner with Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, and Compliance to resolve discrepancies
- Support event-driven activities such as restructurings, distressed situations, and liability management exercises
- Maintain and update corporate action records and audit trails
- Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives within the corporate actions function
Requirements:
- 5 years of corporate actions experience within a buy-side environment
- Strong exposure to fixed income instruments (bonds, loans, structured products, etc.)
- Solid understanding of income events (coupon payments, calls, maturities, partial redemptions)
- Experience working with custodians and vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, ICE, Clearstream, DTC)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with XPS systems is a plus
