What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Associate position at Mission Staffing?
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and reconcile trading accounts on a daily basis by liaising with prime and executing brokers
- Reconcile accounts across counterparties, trading systems, and internal portfolio accounting systems (including cash, positions, activity, and dividend accruals/payments)
- Review and reconcile non-trade activity such as corporate actions, dividends, interest, commissions, fees, and asset servicing events
- Analyze and monitor financing charges across accounts
- Maintain counterparty issue logs, coordinate review meetings, and drive issue resolution to completion
- Conduct root cause analysis on operational breaks, recommend solutions, and document technical requirements
- Partner with technology teams to support user testing and implementation of system and process enhancements
- Identify and implement process improvements across operations workflows
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Production Monitoring, Treasury, Accounting, and Tax
- Support operational onboarding of new markets, products, and funds
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, information systems, mathematics, or another analytical/technical field
- 2 years of experience in financial services
- Prior experience at a top-tier investment firm, investment bank, or fund administrator preferred
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle
- Exposure to equities and equity derivatives preferred
- Corporate actions processing experience is a plus
- Advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills
