Our client, a global Real Estate firm based in New York, NY is seeking an Corporate Accountant to join their growing team. This individual will assist in all day-to-day accounting activities, including posting of accounting transactions, monitoring and maintaining cash activities and balances as well as supporting quarter-end and year-end review and audit process. Additional responsibilities include preparing general ledger account reconciliations and reviewing joint venture partner reporting packages. Candidates must have 3-6 years of of corporate accounting or management company accounting experience ideally with a competing real estate firm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all day-to-day accounting activities, including posting of accounting transactions, monitoring and maintaining cash activities and balances
- Review general ledger balances for completeness, accuracy and account classification.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
- Perform detailed analysis of general ledger account fluctuations, coordinating with property managers and administrators for explanations
- Prepare/review joint venture partner reporting packages
- Assist in all day-to-day accounting activities, including posting of accounting transactions, monitoring and maintaining cash activities and balances
- Support quarter-end and year-end review and audit process; addressing auditor inquiries and preparing and providing support details and analysis
- Perform ad-hoc reports and analysis packages as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 to 6 years of corporate or management company accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with GAAP
- Ability to work independently to solve problems
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as exceptional organizational skill
Salary : $40 - $55
