This position will provide administrative and technical support to the Electrical Services Section by coordinating damage restitution activities, managing computer and mobile device processes, and supporting onboarding, offboarding, and daily office operations. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring efficient workflows, and providing consistent support to ESS staff and MnDOT partners.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.
Minimum Qualifications
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for more than 2/3 of the work time using a computer and or telephone. Information is also communicated through writing and face-to-face conversations with clients and visitors. The employee uses wrists, hands, and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, color vision and eye/hand coordination.

Minimum Qualifications
- Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to a variety of customers over the phone, in person, and via email.
- Skill in data entry sufficient to read source documents and enter data in specific databases or tracking systems.
- Skills in using business grammar, spelling, and punctuation to write, develop, and edit reports, letters, procedures, presentations, and other documents.
- Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files.
