Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings to determine tooling, machine settings, and production sequences
- Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) press brake machines for precise operations, ensuring optimal performance and quality standards
- Conduct routine inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols involving forklifts, cranes, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment
- Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting to maximize machine uptime and productivity
- Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications and customer requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for precise fabrication
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and fabrication processes including tooling selection and setup
- Experience with forklift operation and crane safety procedures is a plus
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, and tolerances during setup and inspection
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
